What is a PUD?

A PUD, or Planned Unit Development, is a type of residential community that includes a mix of homes and shared spaces, often offering amenities like parks, playgrounds, pools, or clubhouses. In a PUD, homeowners own their individual homes and the land under them, but they also share ownership of common areas.

Living in a PUD typically means you’ll pay HOA fees to maintain these shared spaces and amenities, and you’ll need to follow the community rules set by the HOA. PUDs can provide a sense of community and often include amenities that wouldn’t be available in a standard neighborhood, making them a popular choice for many homebuyers.
